1) HISTORY

Elim Pentecostal Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo was born under the leadership of Elim Pentecostal Church of Kenya after being approved by the presiding Bishop Simon GITHING and Reuben WARUTERE, the General secretary of Elim Kenya.

After a long period of prayer and waiting upon the Lord, Pastor John BARANYERETSE started this work, the 19th, May, 2001, going to door to door evangelism.

Elim Pentecostal Church of Congo/ Église Élim Pentecôte au Congo got registered by local authorities the 12th, June, 2004 on CAMIN/J/G-S/NK/227/2004.

Elim Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo crossed hard moments with werved wars and conflits in the eastern part of the county which caused destruction of some churches, violence and rape of women , death of some servants of God but also the Volcano eruption that destroyed the church mother in Goma Town.

Elim Pentecostal Church has taken a spring since 2010 and now works hard to spread the gospel all over territory, reconstruct churches, starts projects for selfreliance of believers and ordain new servants.

The vision of Elim Pentecostal Church(E.P.C/D.R.C) is to know Jesus Christ and make him known.

3) OUR MISSION

The mission of Elim Pentecostal Church of Congo/D.R.C is to respond to the divine call of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by preaching, spreading and proclaiming the gospel in the whole world and fight against some needs of christians spiritually thanks to the power of God's Holy Spirit.

4) AREA OF OPERATION

The EPC-D.R.C is allowed to carry out all their activities over the whole country having 26 provinces so far.

Elim Gospel Church Kenya

ELIM GOSPEL CHURCH KENYA begun in Kenya in year 2010, and was registered as a society by the government in January 2011.

The Name Elim was taken from the Bible in Exodus 15:27, a place where Israelite came to on their way to Canaan. The Name originally was made known to us through Elim Pentecostal Church of UK, whom we had worked in partnership for eighteen years prior to registering Elim Gospel.

The founders of Elim Gospel Kenya were, Samuel Kingori (who is the general overseer), late Reuben Warutere, Paul Ndungu and Joseph Kamau. We were originally part of Elim Pentecostal Church Kenya and thank God for their influence in our lives.

Starting with three churches, Elim Gospel has grown to thirty three churches and five fellowships. There are thirty five pastors and five assistant pastors.

Elim Gospel is a Pentecostal movement founded to fulfil its Bible mandate of preaching the Gospel, baptizing and making disciples according to the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is with the help of the Holy Spirit that we are gets the work done.

The movement is mission oriented vision, having most of the churches in the unreached places. We thank God for our partnership wiht Elim Missions of UK, who have been of great help in the mission field.

Our objectives is to spread the gospel as set out in our fundamentals of our faith, build churches, disciple through trainings, reach out to our communities by preaching, helping the poor, widows and orphans as the Lord provides.

We also establish pastoral and leadership centre.

We preach a message of rest, refreshing, salvation and healing for the body soul and spirit in the wilderness of this world.

The church is governed by the National Leadership Team (NLT), which consist of a general overseer, secretary general, national treasurer, a regional overseer from each region. Their work is to give spiritual direction, administer and govern the affairs of the church.

Every church has a pastor who works with church committee to help the pastor fulfil the vision of the local church. The pastor is responsible for the growth and well-being of the local church.

The pastors in a region comes together to form a regional council. The regional council administer, supervise and accepts the workers in a region.

Every five years we have a general conference where we elect new leaders for the movement. The women. men and youth movements also elects their leaders for a period of five years according to the constitution.

The properties of Elim Gospel are under the trustees of National Leadership Team, and are registered in the name of the denomination.
